Roland Blanding ’21, MA’23: When you attend graduate school, you’re with a bunch of people who are trying to take the next step in their career.
I entered the master’s program at Brandeis International Business School because I just wanted something to help me stand out. And I felt like the skills that I would have would very directly transfer to the job market.
I did not have that much internship experience prior to starting my graduate studies. I was able to leverage the preparation I got from the
Careers team with the relationships I was able to build with alumni because of the position that they put me in. And now I'm in an internship within an industry that I’m super excited about.
This is an environment that definitely cultivates self-starters. I’ve been involved with the Brandeis Investment Club, I’ve been involved with the Brandeis Consulting Association during my time at the graduate school.
There’s always something going on on campus. There’s always something to help you push your career further, regardless of your interests.
What Brandeis does best is foster a sense of community — you’re building relationships here.
I actually have a few job offers in front of me now and it came from my connections and work at Brandeis and I’m so excited to launch my career.
