WE ARE HIRING: Tenure-line Faculty Position in Early American History

The Brandeis University History Department seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor of Early American History (i.e., North America before 1850). While the specific field of expertise is open, we are especially interested in historians who would expand the methodological and chronological range of our department faculty and contribute to graduate and undergraduate advising and teaching. Applicants must have a PhD in hand when the appointment begins in the fall of 2020. This position is subject to budget approval.

Candidates should submit a letter of application, a c.v., a writing sample of no more than forty pages, and three letters of recommendation.

Only online applications will be accepted. Please submit all materials to Academic Jobs Online: https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/14039. First consideration will be given to applications received by October 15, 2019. Questions about the position may be addressed to Dona Delorenzo, delorenz@brandeis.edu.
