Brandeis Library Awards Affordable and Open Educational Resources Grants
To address the high costs of textbooks and other academic resources, the Library supported four grants for faculty who are incorporating open and affordable educational resources into their courses.
The Library’s Affordable and Open Educational Resource Grants are awarded in amounts from $500 to $1,000. In 2019, four faculty members received funding toward their course materials:
- Rachel Kramer Theodorou, ED 175 Teaching English Language Learners: PK-12
- Paula Musegades, MUS 133b: Music History II: Late Baroque to Classical
- Muna Guvenc Ospina Leon, FA 187: Approaches to Architecture and the City
- Fernanda Campbell, HS 326f: Introduction to Stata® Programming and Data Management
While the Library grants for Affordable and Open Educational Resources are no longer offered, your liaison librarian would be happy to discuss options for open and affordable materials for your courses.
