Library Adds New Online Workshops for Intersession

A student works on a laptop, and another student is on a laptop in the distanceWhile many of our services look different this year, we want to make sure the Brandeis community still has access to our resources and expertise even when studying remotely.

That’s why the Brandeis Library has moved our workshops entirely online—even adding some new topics!

Looking to learn a new skill (or polish some old ones) during intersession? The Library is offering a bunch of online workshops throughout January! Learn more about APA citation or how to use Library databases to find funding opportunities. We cover University Archives, the basics of podcasting, the art of 3-D printing, how to find music scores and more. Want to know how to code in R?  We can help!

All workshops are held over Zoom. Registration with a Brandeis ID is required. For a full schedule of workshops with descriptions, visit our workshop calendar.  More will be added, so keep checking back.

Workshops are open to students, faculty and staff. Recent attendees have shared that the workshops have been helpful for a variety of research and creative projects.

When asked what were a few helpful things that you learned at this workshop how might you use this knowledge in the future, an attendee from a Stata workshop replied "EVERYTHING."

Another attendee from a workshop about the University Archives responded, "I loved the old photos and brief Brandeis history lesson. I was also excited to hear about the archives that Brandeis has. Never knew that."
