Spring 2021 LATTE Course Shells
Email sent Nov. 18, 2020
Dear Colleagues,
The Committee on Teaching, Learning and Assessment recommended several adjustments to the new LATTE shells for spring 2021 courses, based on feedback compiled from faculty, students, the Library's instructional technologists, Student Accessibility Services, and the Academic Technologies Advisory Council.
The revisions aim to balance faculty requests for flexibility with student requests for consistency:
- clarity for students, with a Brandeis banner at the top and consistent locations for important course information in most courses,
- flexibility and convenience for faculty, through an abbreviated shell structure and less vulnerability to human error and lockouts, and inclusion of midcourse evaluation form(s).
Instructors may opt out of the revised shell by restoring their courses from previous terms. Additional feedback will be gathered from faculty and students during the second semester to inform adjustments to the summer and fall 2021 LATTE shells.
The spring 2021 course shells should be available from ITS in early December. For help with your spring LATTE course shells, please:
- consult this Frequently Asked Questions page
- contact the Library's instructional technologists at library@brandeis.edu and
- request any LATTE assistants provided by your school. (Arts & Sciences Digital Assistants can be requested here.)
