The gift was one of the incentives for students and faculty to participate in the Library Survey in fall 2018. A total of 182 faculty, 3,531 undergraduate students and 2,082 graduate students completed the survey, which will help shape the future of the Library’s services.

The Waltham Group consists of more than 700 students who participate in outreach programs on campus, in Waltham and in the Greater Boston community. Together with members of the community and local organizations, the Waltham Group implements change through community development and empowerment.

“The Library already is a major resource for Waltham Group, providing us with educational materials, spaces to tutor youth, tech support, archives, and more,” wrote Waltham Group President Matt Nadler ‘20 in a letter to the Brandeis Library. “Your gift extends this support further and allows us to continue serving Waltham’s diverse populations, including youth, adults and children with disabilities, housing and food insecure populations, the elderly, and those who require English support. As President, I will be sure to put your generous gift to use maintaining and expanding our programs to reach even greater populations.”
