Ellen Solomon writes, “These days, I’m lucky and grateful. Three years ago at a friend’s house in South Carolina, I met a wonderful man, Richard Wyndham, who is now my husband. We spend summers in Massachusetts and winters in South Carolina, where I grew up. We have good friends in each place. My daughters are thriving. Anna just published her debut novel, ‘The Little Bride,’ a story of a Russian Jewish girl who in the 1880s becomes a mail-order bride in South Dakota. This fall, I worked for the Obama campaign in South Carolina. Otherwise, I’m writing and listening to classic rock music, Mahler and Mozart.”
