Ulrike Tillmann is a mathematics professor at the University of Oxford, where she specializes in algebraic topology and has made important contributions to the study of the module space of algebraic curves. A fellow of the Royal Society, she won the Whitehead Prize from the London Mathematical Society. Sandy Nadelstein co-produced and wrote a TV sitcom pilot, “M.V. Blues,” which was screened in August at the Capawock Theatre on Martha’s Vineyard. In the show, which Sandy describes as a cross between “Seinfeld” and “Wings,” he plays a dentist on Martha’s Vineyard, his brother Brad plays a veterinary ophthalmologist, and friend Fred Hessler plays a business consultant — which just happens to be what they do in real life. The three have been writing comedy in their spare time since the mid-1990s and were contributors to the Farrelly Brothers’ hit film “There’s Something About Mary.” Jay Goldberg was named assistant vice president and director of internal audit at Selective Insurance Company of America. He had been vice president of internal audit for Take-Two Interactive Software.
