Jonathan Shapiro, an experienced corporate and securities litigator, formerly of WilmerHale, has joined Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo as a member and the head of the firm’s West Coast litigation practice in San Francisco. The Houston-based law firm Hicks Thomas expanded to Dallas with the addition of Jeffrey Goldfarb, a noted commercial litigation lawyer and founder of his own firm. He represents public and private corporations and entrepreneurs in high-stakes commercial cases, including contracts, fiduciary duties, real estate disputes and intellectual property matters. Jeffrey was a partner in two of the world’s largest law firms before launching his own firm. He has been consistently recognized in the Best Lawyers in Dallas list published by D Magazine and the annual Texas Super Lawyers list. Debra Curtis was named senior vice president of current programming at eOne, where she will oversee shows such as “Hell on Wheels” (AMC), “Rookie Blue” (ABC) and “Call Me Fitz” (DirecTV). She previously served as VP of development at GK-TV, and also worked at Sony Pictures Television on programs that included “Damages,” “Rescue Me,” “Rules of Engagement” and “Community.”
