How to apply

Only students currently enrolled in one of the six participating Ph.D. programs — biochemistry & biophysics, chemistry, computer science, molecular and cell biology, neuroscience, and physics — are eligible to join the QB program. If you are not currently enrolled, you must apply and gain admission to one of the Ph.D. programs before applying to QB.

Ordinarily, students apply for admission to QB during their first or second year of graduate school. If you are interested in the QB program, you should discuss your interest as early as possible with the appropriate Ph.D. program faculty liaison and/or with one of the QB cochairs.

To apply, students should download and complete the Application for Admission to the Brandeis Interdepartmental Program in Quantitative Biology (pdf) and submit it to Maryanna Aldrich, MS 009.

Additional information about participating Ph.D. programs at Brandeis and their relation to the QB program can be obtained by emailing our faculty liaisons or one of the QB co-directors.
