Nancy Dreyer trained as an epidemiologist, and now operates an independent consultancy, bringing experience as Chief Scientific Officer and SVP at IQVIA, CEO of Epidemiology Resources Inc. and SVP at Outcome Sciences Inc., Quintiles and UnitedHealth Group.  Dreyer has worked with the FDA and the European Medicines Agency and many medical product companies to study treatment effectiveness and safety.  She has also worked with the NFL and NBA on injury prevention in professional athletes.  After graduating from Brandeis with a BA in Sociology, she earned her MPH and PhD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she now serves as an Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology.  She also gives Invited Lectures at the Brandeis School of Business and Economics.
 
In honor of her late father, she established the Edward Dreyer Endowed Scholarship which is offered to an MBA student, and an undergraduate scholarship fund.  She served on the Heller Board of Advisors from 2003 to 2008 and was named a Brandeis Fellow in 2014.
