BGI recruits and awards scholarships to Russian-speaking high school students from around the world that enable them to attend Brandeis University's two summer programs for outstanding high school students, BIMA or Genesis.

These students gain valuable leadership experiences and build lifelong relationships with young people from all over the world and from a wide variety of Jewish backgrounds, while developing and strengthening their own Jewish identity. Students gain exposure to living and learning on a university campus and learn to articulate their own Jewish values and commitments.

  • BIMA brings talented actors, filmmakers, musicians, visual artists and writers to Brandeis to grow as artists within a creative Jewish environment.
  • Genesis offers high school students the opportunity to take college-level, hands-on courses and get a taste of college life within a creative Jewish environment.

For more information about scholarships to BIMA or Genesis, please contact the Office of High School Programs or the BGI office.
