Year Round Staff
Genesis has a team of year round staff who work to make Genesis the high quality program it is.
Bradley Solmsen, Director
Bradley received rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and a masters degree in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. Bradley has been working with young people in Jewish settings here and in Israel for many years and has been the director of Genesis for over seven years.
Dvora Goodman, Associate Director
Dvora has a masters degree in Jewish Communal Service from the Hornstein Program at Brandeis University. Dvora has worked extensively with teenagers in the summer and year-round, most recently as the Associate Director of the Kesher Community Hebrew School After School in Cambridge, MA. Dvora has been working with Genesis for the past seven summers.
Rachel Happel, Associate Director
Rachel earned her MA and MBA from the Hornstein/Heller program at Brandeis University and her BA in Studio Art from Williams College. She has been working with teens and children for many years in a variety of Jewish educational settings and art programs. In 2003, Rachel received the Etz Chayim Award from the North American Alliance for Jewish Youth.
Julie Shumofsky Chivo, Program Manager
Julie has a degree in Marketing from Lehigh University and a Master's degree in Jewish Communal Service from the Hornstein Program at Brandeis. She has almost 8 years of experience as program manager for the Institute for Informal Jewish Education which is also here at Brandeis.
Rebecca Watson, Program Administrator
Rebecca has worked with students of all ages as an inclusive classroom teacher and Program Director of summer and other out-of-school-time programs. She has a BA and teacher certification from Smith College.
