HiattChat: Virtual Drop-ins
The Hiatt Career Center is excited to offer an opportunity to get career advice from the comfort of your residence hall, whether you're on campus or studying abroad! HiattChat is a virtual drop-in appointment with a Hiatt Advisor. Students can access the service 4 nights per week using their Brandeis email or Gmail accounts.
HiattChat is a quick and convenient way to get answers to your career development questions. From reviewing resumes and cover letters, to helping you navigate B.hired, Hiatt’s dedicated advisors are online to help you outside of normal business hours. Take advantage of this exciting new service!
Logging into HiattChat for the first time
- Sign into your Brandeis email or a Gmail account.
- In the chat box at the bottom left of your inbox, type hiattchat@gmail.com and select “Invite to chat.”
- Hit “Send invites.” Once your invite is accepted, hiattchat will appear in your chat list
HiattChat is available when classes are in session. HiattChat will not be available over break.
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Q: Can I get my resume approved through HiattChat?
A: No, Hiatt Advisors cannot approve resumes, but they are certainly available to review them. Please come to Hiatt during drop-in hours or schedule an appointment with a career counselor to get your resume approved.
Q: Can I chat with HiattChat off the record?
A: No, chats are recorded for both tracking and training purposes.
