3 ___ Take advantage of opportunities on campus to learn more about academic/professional areas of interest. Talk with professors regarding possible majors. Attend career fairs and information sessions with employers.
4 ___ Visit Hiatt to identify experiential programs that will give you more info about your areas of interest.
5 ___ Talk with a counselor in academic advising regarding choice of major.
6 ___ Choose major, based on all of your good research to date.
7 ___ Update resume using Hiatt's resume model or seek advice from Quick Questions, Hiatt advisor or drop in hours.
8 ___ Decide what your goal for the summer is.
9 __ If you are looking for a summer experience/internship in your area of interest, think about: geographic location, industry, function, or employer you'd like to learn more about, for money (how much will you need)? For credit?
10___ Visit Hiatt and website www.brandeis.edu/hiatt to identify summer opportunities, organizations, and alumni contacts.
11___ Update and/or develop resume, cover letter, and networking letter based on your target job, employer or industry. Make appointment with Hiatt 781-736-3618 to plan strategy for getting what you want.
