Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? 
There are more than 50 mission driven organizations looking for faculty and staff who are searching for a way to give back to their community and can make a difference through volunteerism.  
The Office of Human Resources has partnered with the Department of Community Service, the Hiatt Career Center and the Waltham Group Community Connections to join their efforts in promoting volunteerism on our campus.

Spring Yoga Sessions

Join us for this 45 minute workshop which will focus on breathing exercises, meditation and stretches you can do at your desk.  Yoga is not just for those who are flexible.  It is more about connecting your breathing to the movement of your body while increasing mindfulness.

The benefits of yoga include physical strength, better posture, body awareness, relaxation and the reduction of stress.  Yoga has been known to lower blood pressure and slow the heart rate.  It has also been linked to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and an improved immune system.

Please wear comfortable clothing, shoes are optional(you may want to bring a pair of socks).  Yoga mats are not needed.

Secrets Of Feeding A Healthy Family

This seminar looks at what you can do at mealtimes to help keep the whole family health and happy.  We will examine the feeding relationship between parents and children and provide tips to help children learn to enjoy healthy foods.  Participants will learn the appropriate serving sized for both adults and children.  Lastly, this session reviews techniques to plan and execute health meals for the entire family.

Fitness At Any Age

Getting regular exercise at any age is possible.  Learn how to start and maintain a workout routine that is safe for you.  Get moving and stay moving is increasingly important as you age.  This seminar examines how to adapt a workout to work for you at any age and any fitness level.
