David F. Squire

David Squire is the former president and treasurer of Ansonia Mills, Inc. in Taunton, Mass. He left the company in 1966 to enter public service, assuming the role of deputy director of Job Corps and the Office of Economic Opportunity in Washington, DC. He was the senior advisor for Economic, Social and Human Rights Affairs for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in the U.S. State Department.

Additionally, Squire was director for ACLU of Massachusetts; The Philanthropic Initiative, Inc.; Mass. Emerging Technology Fund; Designer Review Panel, and Mass School Building Authority.

Squire was vice president for administration at Brandeis University from 1969 to 1980, and is former vice chair for the Massachusetts Development Finance Agency. Currently, Squire is on the Board of Governors for the American Jewish Committee.

Squire received his B.A. at Dartmouth College in 1947 and was awarded an D.H.L. from Brandeis University in 1996.
