CL/NLP Meet and Greet Industry Receptions
Each semester, the Brandeis Computational Linguistics program holds CL/NLP Industry Receptions – informal meet and greet events in which technical representatives from companies and organizations in industry and the non-profit sector have the opportunity to meet with students, discuss what their group does, hear about the students' backgrounds, and collect resumes from those looking for internships and full-time jobs.
Brandeis CL Master’s and CL-specialized CS PhD program alumni are often among the representatives who attend, and we typically have 10-15 different companies and organizations attend each term, over one to two reception events.
Past company and organization attendees have included representatives from Amazon, Adobe, Apple, Avoke, BBN Technologies, Babel Street (previously Basis Technologies), Burning Glass, Callminer, Cobalt Speech and Language, Fidelity, ISI, Interactions, Jibo, Linguamatics, Lionbridge, Mass Mutual, Microsoft Research, MIT Lincoln Labs, MITRE, Nuance, Optum, Philips Research, Pryon, Rakuten, eviCore (previously QPID Health), RAMP, SAP, Semantic Machines, SIFT, Spotify, Talkler, Tibco, UFA, Verizon, and VocalID.
