2025 ENACT Corps
ENACT is thrilled to announce the inaugural cohort of the ENACT Corps Summer Internship Program.
What is the ENACT Corps?
ENACT is offering a summer supervised internship opportunity for Brandeis undergraduate students that includes substantive work and professional growth. Students will be supervised by both the internship site supervisor as well as Assistant Director of Research at ENACT, Charlotte Powley. The internship will run for approximately eight weeks, from the week of June 2nd through the week of July 25th, with a commitment of approximately 30 hours per week. Charlotte Powley, the Assistant Director of Research for ENACT will meet with students as a group once per week for workshops on career advising and professionalism. The internship includes a stipend of $4,500 for students (compensated by ENACT).
Who are the inaugural ENACT Corps members?

Yasamine majors in International and Global studies on the Pre-law track, with a minor in Islamic studies. She is a rising senior, graduating in May 2026. Yasamine is originally from Los Angeles, CA. She feels deeply passionate about making sure our democratic and legislative systems nurture, support, and respect all people. Yasamine is honored to hopefully be a part of moving the needle forward in this regard!

Wilfred Chilangwa is a rising junior at Brandeis University and originally from Westwood, MA. Wilfred is majoring in International and Global Studies with a concentration in Law, Justice, and Human Rights, and minoring in African and African American Studies and Psychology. He is looking forward to this opportunity as it will provide a great opportunity to learn more about legislative processes in a unique and collaborative way that he feels will set him up for success in his major and areas of interest.

Alyssa hails from Irvine, California and is a rising senior studying Anthropology with minors in Legal Studies and Hispanic Studies on the pre-law track. She is super excited to bring forth her passion for civic engagement this upcoming summer as an Intern with the Massachusetts State Auditor’s office, thanks to ENACT. Alyssa looks forward to this invigorating experience and the mentorship that lies ahead!

Mariana Ortega Martinez '27 is studying Politics & Economics on a pre-law track with an interest in pursuing environmental or agricultural law. Originally from New York City, she was born to immigrant parents who instilled community values in her from a very young age. On campus, she volunteers for the campus pantry, serves as a Community Engagement Ambassador, and is part of the Student Health Advisory Committee. She is looking forward to bringing her passion for community service and policy advocacy with her this summer at the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus (MWPC).

Anh-Thu Pham is currently a third year undergraduate student at Brandeis, double majoring in English and Sociology and double minoring in Legal Studies and Studio Art, graduating with the class of 2026. She is from Great Falls, Virginia and has grown up in Northern Virginia all her life. She is looking forward to furthering her skills and knowledge towards legislative processes and getting a better understanding of civic engagement.

Grace Toscano is a rising junior from New Jersey majoring in Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP) with minors in Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Studies and Legal Studies. She is excited for the opportunity to intern with Our Bodies Ourselves and hopes to bring a disability justice lens to women's reproductive health. Grace is passionate about advancing health equity for underserved communities and plans to pursue a career in disability policy and advocacy.
