Announcement of 2024 ENACT Faculty FellowshipENACT: The Educational Network for Active Civic Transformation is now accepting and reviewing faculty fellowship applications from applicants who are faculty members at two- or four-year colleges or universities in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia and welcomes inquiries from anywhere in the United States.

New fellows will join a thriving network of faculty fellows across the United States who are teaching new courses or enhancing existing courses that engage students in hands-on study and work related to state-level legislation. Fellows will advance this work together, learning from one another's pedagogy and sharing in each other's successes.

Applicant Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant is a faculty member at a two- or four-year college or university in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas or West Virginia.
  • The students in the applicant's ENACT course will primarily be undergraduates.
  • The applicant commits to reviewing the recordings and materials of the virtual ENACT Institute and attending virtual and/or in-person ENACT convenings.
  • The applicant commits to teaching an ENACT course at least twice within four years of joining ENACT, with the first iteration being within the two years of joining.

Faculty Benefits

  • Fellows are eligible to apply for grants of up to $1,000 to support their course development and course work.
  • Fellows are able to access research funds to study the effects of ENACT courses
  • When in-person ENACT institutes are offered, all institute expenses of participants are paid as part of the ENACT Fellowship.
  • Fellows and their students will have full ongoing access to the online and in-person ENACT Network.
