Grow in 2025 with Brandeis Online
December 30, 2024
As 2025 approaches, it’s time to look back on your 2024 accomplishments and assemble goals for the year ahead. Whether you’re kicking off a new career, transitioning to a more involved role or just looking to improve your job performance, Brandeis Online is here to help.
When you think about graduate school, career breaks, night classes and years of commitment are likely what come to mind. Brandeis Online approaches higher education differently. While we do offer part-time and full-time master’s degrees, Brandeis Online also offers working professionals the opportunity to take a course without committing to a full program.
There are a wide range of benefits to taking a course with Brandeis Online in the new year.
1. Expand your professional skill set
Brandeis Online offers a wide variety of courses for professional development, with topics ranging from Bioinformatics Scripting and Databases with Python to Digital Marketing Strategy. You can take a course that’s universally applicable to any career — like Communication for Effective Leadership or Foundations of Project Management — or choose to explore a new, more specific field of study, like User Experience Design.
No matter which class you choose, you’ll walk away with strong practical skills. Brandeis Online courses are designed by industry professionals, for industry professionals — so you can be assured that you’re getting an education that is highly relevant to your career. With hands-on projects, you’ll get firsthand experience applying industry-standard techniques to real-world problems — and you’ll be able to immediately apply those skills to your day-to-day job.
2. Flexibility, convenience and connection
Designed for working professionals, Brandeis Online courses are structured with flexibility and convenience in mind. Asynchronous and 100% online, coursework can be reviewed and completed at any time, from anywhere.
However, the virtual nature of our programs does not mean you have to sacrifice on connection. Unlike massive online open courses, Brandeis Online courses have built-in opportunities for connecting with instructors and peers. With discussion posts, office hours and other networking opportunities, you’ll always have someone to turn to with questions about course content, the industry and beyond.
3. Open up paths to future growth
Taking a course with Brandeis Online gives you the opportunity to explore the idea of graduate school before launching yourself into a program. Even better, as you’re taking the time to weigh your options, you won’t fall behind.
Each course you take at Brandeis Online is a step towards a graduate-level credential. If you take a course from one of our 12 master’s certificates, you’ll only have three more classes ahead of you before you complete a program. Each of our master’s certificates also has a pathway to a master’s degree, with six more classes leading to a full degree in your field of choice.
4. Start your year off with success and stability
Although U.S. News and World Report has not yet released its list for the best jobs of 2025, last year’s list was full of careers aligned with Brandeis Online’s programs. Marketing managers, data scientists, health service managers and software developers are still set to thrive in the new year — and Brandeis Online has master’s certificates and degrees that can prepare you to succeed in any one of these roles.
Even if you’re not looking to transition into one of these careers, Brandeis Online can still help you to start the year off strong. By gaining new credentials — and developing new skills — you can maximize your success in your current role or increase your chances of getting a much-desired promotion. With a graduate level course, master’s certificate or degree to verify your expertise and demonstrate your commitment to professional development, you’ll be sure to flourish in the new year.
