The History Department Welcomes the Concord Review Writing Program to Campus
On Tuesday, July 3rd, Professor Hannah Muller and Brandeis history majors Tucker Ahlers and Maddy Silberman served on a panel to inform the high school student participants of the Concord Review about the importance and process of the study of history.
The Concord Review at Brandeis trains high school students to write high-caliber, in-depth history research papers over two or three weeks. Students attend interactive group classes, have frequent individual consultations with instructors, meet former authors, visit historical sites, prepare presentations for a conference, and, most importantly, learn how to read and write historical nonfiction independently. The program enables students to produce a draft of a college-level history research paper and equips students with advanced writing techniques, academic research skills, and critical thinking abilities that will guide them through academic and professional life far beyond high school.
Tuition and registration is conducted through The Concord Review, Incorporated.
