Meet Solomon Storm, new admissions coordinator at Brandeis Online.
Get to know Solomon!
What are some fun facts about you?
I am an avid skier, and I typically go skiing 20-30 times each season. I’m a regular at Snowbird in Utah. I also enjoy hiking and camping, and am excited to start exploring New England camping. Around home, I enjoy watching movies, and go to the theater at least once or twice a week.
Can you tell us about your background?
I’m from the Salt Lake City area in Utah, and attended my undergrad at the University of Utah studying quantitative economics. I loved my undergrad experience, and particularly enjoyed studying abroad in Denmark (where I’m a citizen and have family) and Japan. I’m currently attending Boston University for a master’s in Actuarial Science.
What attracted you to Brandeis Online? What inspired you to work for Brandeis Online?
I started at Brandeis Online as a temp, and really fell in love with the environment here and the role, leading me to accept the position full time. Everyone on the team is exceptionally nice and helpful, and I really feel I can rely on them. Because of the support I’ve been shown, I’ve been inspired to support the rest of the team.
What are the responsibilities of your role at Brandeis Online?
As an admissions coordinator, I work closely with incoming and prospective students. With the help of the admissions team, I handle outreach, manage inquiries, and help students complete their application so they can begin their pathway at Brandeis.
What excites you the most about your position? What are you most looking forward to?
I’m excited to have such a strongly student-facing role. As a current graduate student, it is meaningful for me to have the opportunity to help other prospective graduate students have a positive experience, especially as the first interactions most of these students will have with Brandeis. I’m also excited to continue working with such a driven and kind team.
