Bioinformatics Software Engineering and AI/ML

This course is intended to prepare students for real-world applications, ensure they
stay current with rapidly evolving technologies, and position them competitively in the job
market. Course topics include software engineering and deep learning AI/ML topics. Software
engineering topics may include NextFlow, cloud infrastructure, containerization (e.g., Docker),
and cloud tools (AWS or GCP). AI/ML topics include training and building elementary deep
learning models and use of Github and HuggingFace models.
