Human Factors Psychology and Ergonomics
The goal of human factors is to optimize systems for human use. This course lays the foundation for understanding how people think, feel, and behave in relation to technology. Students examine the psychological and ergonomic principles that influence user interactions with physical and digital environments, and learn to apply them to design effective, usable, and inclusive user interfaces. Emphasis is placed on cognitive and perceptual principles, with particular attention to how human capacities and limitations, together with social contexts, shape the overall user experience.
