Join us on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9, Levin Ballroom, as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Department of African and African American Studies (AAAS) at Brandeis.
This event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is required. Visit the website to register and for additional information.Keynote speakers and participants will include Angela Y. Davis ’65, Julieanna Richardson ’76, H’16, Hortense Spillers, PhD’74, and Askia Touré. The commemoration will also be highlighted by panels featuring multiple generations of Brandeis alumni, including participants in the 1969 Ford Hall occupation.
