New Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences

I’m delighted to share with you that we have selected a new dean of the School of Arts and Sciences.
Jeffrey Spencer Shoulson has served as senior vice provost for academic affairs at the University of Connecticut since 2020, where he has supervised academic program development, review, assessment, and accreditation across all of the university's schools and colleges. He previously served as vice provost for academic operations at UConn and as vice provost for interdisciplinary affairs. Along with his experience in academic leadership, Dr. Shoulson is an accomplished scholar of English and Jewish literature. He will join Brandeis August 1.
I would like to thank the search committee chairs, Harleen Singh and Isaac Krauss, staff support by Lorna Laurent, all of the members of the search committee, and the entire community for working together to successfully identify and recruit our new dean.
