Scheduling of Spring 2024 Final Exams

Dear Colleagues,
We understand that the Spring 2024 academic calendar has raised a number of challenges, with the final exam period taking place right after Passover break. We are reaching out with a reminder about our final exams policy.
Final examinations administered by the Office of the University Registrar must be given during the scheduled final examination period and may not be given prior to the scheduled time. Final exams administered by instructors, if covering more than half a semester’s material, may not be scheduled during the final two weeks of instruction.
As always, faculty have the flexibility to choose the assessment methods that best fit their courses (e.g, take-home, remote exams, no final exam, etc.) but they are under no obligation to change their final exam plan to accommodate travel plans due to this semester’s tight academic calendars. Students and faculty should confirm the date and time of final examinations prior to making any travel arrangements.
