Yana Drozdovski

Yana Drozdovski was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia and made Aliyah with her family in 1990 when she was five years old.drozdovski

After serving for 2 years in the IDF’s Intelligence forces, she attended Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva where she graduated with a BA in Management and Sociology and Anthropology. During her senior year, Yana escorted Birthright participants from New York and became passionate about the Jewish world outside of Israel. Upon graduation, Yana decided to spend a year abroad serving, on behalf of JAFI, as the Israel Fellow in Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College, New York. 

She then earned her MBA in Non-Profit Management and Ma in Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership from Brandeis University.

As part of her professional field work Yana served as the Director of Education of Havurah at camp Tel Yehudah where she previously worked as a Unit Head. After graduation Yana joined the Brandeis-Genesis Institute for Russian Jewry (BGI) as the Program Manager. In this capacity Yana is developing and overseeing all educational initiatives of the institute.
