Mahala Rethlake

I earned my B.A. at Bethel College (Mishawaka, IN) as a double major in philosophy and English.

My primary areas of philosophical interest include basic issues in metaphysics (the nature of existence, the mental vs. the physical, etc.) and philosophy of religion (the problem of evil, the rationality of religious belief, etc.). I am also interested in ancient and medieval philosophy, epistemology (especially the conditions of knowledge, testimony, and epistemic injustice), ethics, and feminist perspectives in philosophy of religion and the history of philosophy.

Aside from engaging in philosophy, my favorite activities include drinking espresso, reading fiction, trying new recipes, conversing with friends, taking photos, practicing yoga, kayaking, hiking, and spending time with my husband, Nick, and our Great Dane, Leo.
