Maisie Wiltshire-Gordon

Maisie Wiltshire-Gordon earned an honors BA in Philosophy and Literature from Swarthmore College. After graduating in 2013, she worked as a math curriculum writer, and then as a business strategy consultant.

Maisie's primary focus is philosophy of language and aesthetics. She is particularly interested in the ways we negotiate the gap between what we hope our words can do and what we find them doing. What meaning is there in metaphor? What is the difference between fiction and lies? How do we interpret texts responsibly?

When she's not doing philosophy, Maisie enjoys running, talking to strangers, and trying to bake cakes without following a recipe.
