William Phillips

I earned my B.A. in philosophy from Middle Tennessee State University. My primary interests are in early modern philosophy, particularly early modern conceptions of space and time. I have secondary interests in contemporary philosophy of space and time and its intersections with philosophy of physics and mathematics. My master's paper regards making sense of motion in Spinoza's philosophy given his commitment to some form of temporal idealism. When I am not doing philosophy, I compose art and rock music. I also have a growing synthesizer collection which distracts me even when I am doing philosophy.
