Wien World Leaders
One of the first recipients of the Wien International Scholarship, Wakako Kimoto Hironaka '64 (right) is now serving a fourth term as a member of the House of Councillors, the Upper House of the Japanese National Diet. She has also served on the International Senior Advisory Board of UNESCO and as vice chair of Global Legislators for a Balanced Environment (GLOBE). In April, the Wien scholars gathered for a historic 50th reunion, featuring panels of current and past scholars.
