Get hands-on career experience and explore your passions - in the summer internship of your choice - and receive funding to support your work from the Hiatt Career Center!

The program offers awards for Brandeis first years, sophomores and juniors who want to intern during the summer with organizations that do not have the financial resources to provide a salary.  We encourage students to use the summer to explore careers that they are truly passionate about by eliminating financial barriers precluding them from following their career interests.

The WOW Internship Program is funded in part by the generous support of the Brandeis University Alumni Association.

Program Parameters:

  • Propose a summer internship in the public or private sector, in any field.
  • Work in the United States or abroad.
  • Identify and secure an internship invitation from an organization that allows you to realize a set of practical, learning, and exploration goals through on-the-job experience, side-by-side with mentoring professionals.
  • Awards are given to current Brandeis University first-years, sophomores, and juniors.
  • Domestic internship awards are $3,500 and international ones are $4,000. Social Work WOW award is $5,000.
