Summer Institute for Israel Studies
The Summer Institute for Israel Studies, now in its tenth year, has trained over 200 faculty at universities and colleges to design a course on Israel Studies in their field. Disciplines represented this year include anthropology and linguistics, history and international relations, Jewish studies, religion and the military.
This unique multi-disciplinary program includes a two-week seminar-in-residence at Brandeis and a weeklong study tour in Israel. The 2014 program takes place:
June 16 - 30, 2014 at Brandeis
July 1 - 10, 2014 in Israel
Fellows receive a stipend of up to $2,500 for the full course; $1,500 for the Brandeis seminar only.
Travel (within North America), accommodations and most meals are covered.
