Summer Institute for Israel Studies
The Summer Institute for Israel Studies has trained over 200 faculty at universities and colleges to design courses on Israel Studies in any discipline. Recent participants teach history, international relations, arts, Jewish studies, religion law, anthropology, linguistics, and security studies.
This unique multi-disciplinary program includes a two-week seminar-in-residence at Brandeis and a ten-day study tour in Israel. Dates for the 2015 are being determined but will be similar to the 2014 program:
June 16 - 30, 2014 at Brandeis
July 1 - 10, 2014 in Israel
Fellows receive a stipend of up to $2,500 for the full course; $1,500 for the Brandeis seminar only.
Travel (from North America), accommodations and most meals are covered.
Applications for SIIS are due by January 21st.
