The Student Support Services program is a small, community-oriented program dedicated to working with students who are the First-Generation in their families to go to college and those who come from resource-restricted backgrounds. Our program promotes academic success by providing students advising, peer tutoring, peer mentoring, cultural enrichment activities, and workshops.

The TRIO Student Support Services Program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education and Brandeis Institutional Fund.  Services are free for program participants and are contingent upon continued funding. To apply to receive assistance and use program services, students must be enrolled in a program of postsecondary education at Brandeis University.

Academic Achievement

Our program promotes academic success by providing students advising, peer tutoring, peer mentoring, cultural enrichment activities and workshops. Each student receives tailored support based on their unique experience and needs. We affirm students' personal goals and career aspirations as they strive to dream, persevere and succeed in college and beyond.

Connection in Community

SSSP Scholars engage in leadership on campus by serving on our very own Student Leadership Board, on our Peer Mentor team, and by being active in clubs and organizations. Our program serves as a bridge to university resources including the Hiatt Career Center, the Brandeis Counseling Center, and Student Financial Services. Brandeis Graduates of SSSP have traveled world-wide, attended top graduate school programs, and interned with influential nonprofit and corporate organizations.
