Advising Resources

We have compiled a list of useful advising resources for you to have quick access to when guiding students on their academic journey.

Faculty Grant Opportunity: FACET

The Freishtat Accessible Course Excellence in Teaching (FACET) grant is open to all full-time and part-time faculty and is delivered as a partnership between Student Accessibility Support and the Center for Teaching and Learning. Workshops will include resources from Student Accessibility Support, Digital Communications, Research and Instructional Services, and Media Technology Services in order to support accessible curriculum development at Brandeis.

Academic Performance Report

The Academic Performance Report allows faculty to partner with advisors in Academic Services to identify concerns about students in a course.  During a semester in progress, faculty are invited to share any concerns regarding student attendance, performance, or participation through our Academic Performance Report.

Sometimes a situation arises that prevents a student from completing a final assignment or taking a final exam at the scheduled time.  During these situations, the university is prepared to work with both the student and faculty to facilitate a conversation about whether receiving an excused absence (EA) and/or excused incomplete (EI) may be appropriate.

Academic Integrity

Resources for reporting any suspected academic dishonesty are available to faculty on the Department of Student Rights and Community Standards website.
