Summer Internships
A summer internship between the first and second years of the program gives students real technical experience as well as a practical understanding of the issues and cultures in the biosciences workplace. Students identify opportunities with guidance from the program director, and typically apply for their internships early in the second semester.
Before the internship, students are guided through resumé and cover letter writing, and coached on interviewing. Returning students present their internship projects as posters in a symposium for an audience of industry guests, faculty members, and first year PSM students.
Information on Curricular Practical Training for international students is available on the ISSO website.
