Jewish Futures Project Methodology

The Jewish Futures Project is a longitudinal panel study. The panel currently includes individuals who applied to go on a Birthright Israel trip between 2001 and 2009. Between 2009 and 2019 the panel has been surveyed six times.

The first wave of the study was conducted with a random stratified sample of individuals who applied to Birthright Israel in the years 2001-2004. Full sampling and other methodological details.

The second wave expanded the original panel to include individuals who applied to Birthright in 2005, thus the panel for this wave included individuals who applied to the program in the years 2001-2005. Full sampling and other methodological details.

The third wave expanded the panel again to include individuals who applied to Birthright in 2006, thus the panel for this wave included individuals who applied to the program in the years 2001-2006. Full sampling and other methodological details.

The fourth wave surveyed the panel that included individuals who applied to the program in the years 2001-2006. Full sampling and other methodological details.
