Gender Justice & Reproductive Health Week

In collaboration with the Women’s Studies Research Center and student groups on campus, ENACT  is hosting a Gender Justice and Reproductive Health (GJRH) Week the week of September 15th, 2025.

The GJRH week will  include 1) a keynote address by Dr. Yvonne Gomez-Carrion MD, who is a gynecology surgeon and 2018 recipient of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Health Award, an honor recognizing an individual who has made outstanding contributions to LGBTQ+ health, 2) a panel discussion from the Bad Old Days Posse, a group of trailblazers who share their stories of seeking reproductive healthcare prior to the passage of Roe v. Wade and 3) a hands-on advocacy training with special guest Kyla Speizer, a recent Brandeis alumna and current Operations and Communications Manager at Mass NOW; students will learn how to effectively advocate for state-level legislation that advances gender equity and reproductive justice.
