This lecture will host film director and activist Fred Kuwornu. He will discuss how Black representations are shaping and changing Italian Culture at large. If you answered yes to any one of these questions, you won’t want to miss Cultural Connections through Storytelling, part of I Am Global Week. At this event, you will have an opportunity to dive deep into meaningful conversations about the cultural richness and diversity present here at Brandeis by sharing your personal experiences, and by listening to and connecting with others within the Brandeis community. Cultural Connections through Storytelling is a collaboration of the Center for Spiritual Life, the Intercultural Center, and the International Students and Scholars Office.

Meet Kahal and Jewish Life Abroad
This event will consist of a panel discussion among Brandeis students who have recently returned from abroad. Students in attendance will have the chance to hear specifically about the Jewish abroad experiences of those on the panel, from how they originally found Jewish opportunities in their host cities, to the accessibility of kosher food and Shabbat/holiday programming options (positive and negative).  Kosher dinner will be provided and subsidized by JDC Entwine/KAHAL.

Supporting Refugees Abroad and at Home
Join IGS during I Am Global Week for a conversation about how to support refugees internationally and locally. Brandeis Senior Sara Goldstein will share her experience from volunteering as an English Teacher for Ukrainian Refugees in Poland. Marjean A. Perhot, Vice President for Refugee and Immigrant Services at Catholic Charities, will speak about her experience working with immigrants and refugees in Boston. Liza Gutina, a graduate of Brandeis (’03), will speak about Svitlo, a non-profit she co-founded in the aftermath of the war in Ukraine that collects information and resources for Ukrainian newcomers and presents it in a clear intuitive layout. Yum Cha: Heart Higher than the Sky
Yum cha is C2B's annual culture show. We will be showcasing local student groups that have aspects of Cantonese culture that they'd like to share through storytelling, music, song and dance. The theme of this year’s show is about aspirations — together as one community, C2B invites you to explore your own dreams and hopes that provide a sense of direction and purpose. BASO, Brandeis African Student Organization, is inviting you to attend our Cultural Show Africa's Best! This year our culture show will be a fashion show. The theme of the fashion show is centered around showcasing the diversity of Africa within countries that exist within the five regions of the continent; North, West, East, Central, and South.
