Letter from the Director
To the Hornstein community; past, present and future:
I’m so delighted that you have taken an interest in the Hornstein program, and I would like to welcome you and invite you to explore all that we are.
As a legacy program for Jewish professional leaders, we have attracted talented and passionate students for more than six decades, and today have more than 730 engaged alumni throughout the Jewish world.
The recent traumas and seismic challenges the Jewish community is facing has sharpened our mission, to foster Jewish professionals equipped to lead with intentionality and grace as they navigate the complex and nuanced web of issues facing Jewish communities across the world. Brandeis University has always been at the forefront of audacious projects, and Hornstein is investing in opportunities to make our educational offerings more accessible, which includes the launch this fall of a new online graduate certificate followed by a fully online MA (coming soon) that will allow students to take courses regardless of their location and without leaving their full-time positions.
At the same time, we continue to develop our on-campus dual-degree programs (the MBA, Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Jewish Education, and Masters of Public Policy), helping students combine management and leadership skills with cutting edge scholars, professional training and field experiences.
Hornstein aspires to be a network- a home for students (future and alumni), and a connection point for practitioners, scholars and organizations across the Jewish world. We are excited to engage with you and look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely yours,
Liora Norwich
