Undergraduate Departmental Representatives

Undergraduate departmental representatives serve as a resource and representative for fellow majors and minors and potential majors and minors, and brings student concerns and/or ideas to the program faculty. They also provide feedback to the program chair, undergraduate advising head, and faculty regarding scheduling problems, course offerings, etc. and help organize events for majors, minors and other interested students.

Saaya Daga '27

Saaya is a senior from Holden, Massachusetts majoring in neuroscience with minors in both journalism and Hispanic Studies. She came to Brandeis with an interest in journalism and has loved being part of the program ever since taking her first journalism class during her first semester. She is happy to answer questions about the department, offer course recommendations, discuss combining journalism with other subjects, or talk about anything journalism-related!

Noa Yolkut '27

Noa Yolkut is a senior from Riverdale, New York, majoring in American Studies and minoring in Journalism and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies. Noa has been involved with the Journalism department since her first semester at Brandeis when she took Long-form Journalism with Professor Swidey. Despite the burnout still lingering after her high school newspaper career, the Brandeis Journalism department had her hooked and she has stuck around ever since. Noa is always happy to chat about Brandeis Journalism, the news, politics, Jewish life on campus, Instagram recipes, or any other topic you can cook up.
