2018 NEASC Self-Study Draft

May 11, 2018

Dear Brandeis Community,

Every ten years, Brandeis University undergoes re-accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The self-study process for our fall 2018 re-accreditation review is underway now. NEASC provides standards, nine in all, that act as guidelines for the information needed for re-accreditation. These nine standards guide our preparation of a self-study document, and are posted on the Brandeis University NEASC Reaccreditation Self-Study website.

As chair of the steering committee for the re-accreditation process, I invite you to read the Brandeis self-study draft posted here on the Brandeis NEASC Reaccreditation Self-Study website, and submit any feedback you may have to me at lmlreply@brandeis.edu.

The draft self-study addresses each of the nine standards by describing our university, identifying strengths, highlighting challenges, and providing a projection of institutional priorities for the next five to ten years.

The draft will be further revised based on feedback from the community, and will also be sent to NEASC for their preliminary comments. Final revisions will then be done in the light of all this feedback. The self-study will be formally submitted to NEASC at the beginning of the fall term before the visiting team comes to campus in November 2018.

Best regards,

Lisa
