Sofia graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Minor in Human Development from California State University, Monterey Bay. There, as a funded researcher and Koret Scholar, she collaborated with Dr. Jennifer Dyer-Seymour and peers to study undergraduate psychology majors' perceptions of their learning and skills necessary for post-graduate careers. Sofia is the current Lab Manager in the Lifespan Lab, where she is primarily responsible for the data cleaning, correcting, and scoring of the cognitive data collected as a part of the Midlife in the United States Study (MIDUS). She is interested in behaviors related to cognitive and physical health and well-being, with a desire to study at-risk populations. In her free time, Sofia enjoys cooking, thrift shopping, and crafting.
