Participate in Our Studies
Most of our research takes place at Brandeis University in the Psychology Department. The Morris Brown Social Science building is located next to the castle and we provide parking. In some cases, we do studies at the participant's home or work place, or over the phone. Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Lifespan Developmental Psychology Lab at Brandeis University
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to work on longitudinal studies of adult development and aging with a focus on psychosocial, behavioral, and biological pathways to cognitive and physical health. The position involves engagement with multiple studies in an active lab including collaboration on the Midlife in the United States (MIDUS) study . Primary responsibilities will include management of new projects, processing of large data sets, data analysis; preparation of manuscripts; presentations at conferences, and participation in interdisciplinary research groups. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in social or developmental psychology, behavioral neuroscience, or in the health sciences; relevant research experience; strong statistical and writing skills; good communication skills; and the ability to work effectively with others. Applicants should have a background in two or more of the following areas: cognitive aging, assessment of cognitive status, personality, lifespan development and aging, or health psychology. Experience with longitudinal data analysis, large data sets, multilevel modeling, latent growth models, and/or structural equation modeling is desirable.
The expected salary range is $62,000 to $64,000 depending on experience. The appointment is for one year with the opportunity to renew for a second year.
