TA Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring
Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Nomination form
Each year, faculty and students are invited to nominate their Teaching Assistants (TAs) for an Outstanding TA Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring.
These awards recognize and celebrate the exceptional work our Teaching Fellows (TFs), Teaching Assistants (TAs), Instructional Assistants (IAs), and Course Assistants (CAs) do to support our students. (TFs, TAs, IAs, and CAs are, all of whom are eligible for this award.)
Every semester, 10 Outstanding TA Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring will be granted, one each for:

An undergraduate TA in Creative Arts

A graduate TA in Creative Arts

An undergraduate TA in Humanities

A graduate TA in Humanities

An undergraduate TA in Sciences

A graduate TA in Sciences

An undergraduate TA in Social Sciences

A graduate TA in Social Sciences

A graduate TA in the Heller School for Social Policy and Management

A graduate TA in the International Business School
Each year, the 20 Outstanding TA Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring will be conferred at the Celebration of Teaching Day. Each award winner will also receive $100 as a small token of our appreciation.
Both faculty and students are eligible to nominate their TAs for the award.
To nominate a TA, please fill out this short nomination form describing the TA’s commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. All Fall nominations are due by December 2nd and all Spring nominations are due by April 22nd.
Please nominate only one TA per submission on the nomination form. You are welcome to nominate multiple TAs by submitting the form separately for each nominee.
