  • BROAD SPECTRUM OF WORK - While individual agencies have a focus such as security, agriculture, budget, or the military,  the range of jobs within each is broad.  For example, USAID hires regional analysts, the Department of Energy values the skills of economists, the State Department seeks computer scientists, and the Library of Congress employs fine arts majors.
