Summer Institute for Israel Studies

The Summer Institute for Israel Studies has trained over 200 faculty at universities and colleges to design courses on Israel Studies in any discipline. Recent participants teach law, anthropology and linguistics, history and international relations, Jewish studies and arts, religion and security studies.

This unique multi-disciplinary program includes a two-week seminar-in-residence at Brandeis and a ten-day study tour in Israel. The 2014 program takes place:

June 16 - 30, 2014 at Brandeis
July 1 - 10, 2014 in Israel

Fellows receive a stipend of up to $2,500 for the full course; $1,500 for the Brandeis seminar only.
Travel (from North America), accommodations and most meals are covered.

Applications for SIIS 2014 are due by January 21st.
