Irene Abrams, Executive Director
Irene Abrams has been involved in commercializing university research for most of her career. Irene is responsible for managing all aspects of Brandeis’ intellectual property, including patents, license agreements, material transfer agreements, and the intellectual property terms of industrial sponsored research agreements. Before joining Brandeis in 2006, Irene spent over 15 years licensing biotech patents for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Whitehead Institute.
Irene received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, her Master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University and was a doctoral student at M.I.T.
Loretta Shagoury
Assistant Director, Finance & Administration
Loretta Shagoury is the Assistant Director in Finance & Administration of Brandeis Office of Technology Licensing. Loretta is responsible for royalty distribution, budget forecast, material transfer agreements, patent and contract databases management, and all other financial transactions of the office.
