Irene Abrams, Executive Director
Irene Abrams came to Brandeis University to lead the Office of Technology Licensing in 2006. Since joining Brandeis, Irene has focused on building entrepreneurial ecosystem at Brandeis to support the kinds of faculty-industry relationships that lead to technology commercialization, licensing, industry-sponsored research and faculty spin-off companies, networking opportunities for students, and ultimately, royalties to Brandeis.
Before joining Brandeis, Irene was a Senior Technology Licensing Officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Whitehead Institute, focusing on biotechnology licensing.
Irene is a founder of T3, and organization of small tech transfer offices in New England. Irene is the Vice President, and incoming President, of the Massachusetts Association of Technology Transfer Offices (MATTO).
Irene received her s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, her s degree from the Johns Hopkins University and was a doctoral student at M.I.T.

Loretta Shagoury
Assistant Director, Finance & Administration
Loretta Shagoury is the Assistant Director in Finance & Administration of Brandeis Office of Technology Licensing. Loretta is responsible for royalty distribution, budget forecast, material transfer agreements, patent and contract databases management, and all other financial transactions of the office. Loretta has 10 years of experience in financial administration and accounting, and has worked as a budget analyst in
